How To Apply - AW007-B3

Ensure the dressing is the appropriate size for the wound. The dressing pad should be 1-2cm larger than the wound.

  1. Always wash hands before and after treating a wound.
  2. Gently clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin.
  3. Remove the dressing from the sterile wrapper.
  4. Remove the release films and place the dressing centrally over the wound site. Avoid touching the side to be used on the wound.
  5. Smooth the dressing down over the skin.
  6. Remove the top plastic films from the dressing.

Examine the wound and apply a new dressing as required, if the wound is exudating then the dressing should be replaced at least daily. If there is little or no exudation, the dressing can be changed every 2 - 3 days until the wound heals.
